Sr. Director, Ecommerce & Online Marketing - Wyndham Vacation Rentals North America at Parsippany

Job Description

The Sr. Director, E-commerce & Online Marketing is responsible for leadership and management of Wyndham Vacation Rentals North America (WVR NA) online strategy and channel development. This position reports to the Vice President, Consumer Marketing & Brand Strategy. This e-commerce professional will interface with all facets of the business and will be a key member of WVR NA leadership team, helping to ensure a great online experience for WVR NA owners and guest, driving meaningful engagement across all of WVR NAs online demand and sales channels, and growing conversion rate and profitability of wyndhamvacationrentals.com and other company websites.Responsibilities
  • Leading WVR NAs online and ecommerce strategy, developing and executing a comprehensive strategic roadmap to achieve company goals.
  • Responsible for overall direction and management of an e-commerce and online marketing team consisting of Associates that are managing direct to consumer ecommerce marketing in the areas of Search Engine Optimization, Paid Search, Social Media, mobile and email marketing and content development.
  • Continuously innovate other areas of online opportunities to drive online financial and KPI objectives.
  • Sponsor and prioritize initiatives and projects that evolve the customer experience, functionality, effectiveness, and profitability of WVR NAs various online properties including wyndhamvacationrentals.com.
  • Fiscal responsibility for online financial and KPI objectives of e-commerce initiatives, in accordance with the strategic plan and budget.
  • Serving as the primary liaison for the purposes of evolving and managing e-commerce standards and best practices for WVR NA.
  • Understanding customer feedback, experience metrics, website usage patterns and industry competitive trends to improve and/or enhance WVR NAs websites.
  • Maintaining brand standards and guidelines across all online marketing communications and ecommerce websites, including full creative and design responsibility for wyndhamvacationrentals.com. Ensure User Experience and design best practices.
  • Prioritizing error resolution and small website enhancements to aid in online conversion and contact center call reduction.
  • Integrating the websites and other e-commerce activities and teams of any acquired businesses into WVR NA
  • Tracking and reporting ecommerce effectiveness, content effectiveness, online trends, usage, usefulness of functions / features, and the success of online marketing campaigns.
  • Securing capital investment for the ecommerce strategic roadmap by producing relevant and accurate business cases. This involves presenting to members of the senior leadership team regularly.
  • Responsibility for achieving online share, guest visit, and online transaction objectives.
  • Working with Information Technology to prioritize error resolution and small website enhancements to aid in online conversion and contact center call reduction.
  • Planning and collaborating with Information Technology regarding software and licensing requirements.
  • Supporting IT in the contracting process for securing software licenses and services that support ecommerce efforts.

Job Requirements

Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of ecommerce and online marketing experience in a sizeable brand or company.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ecommerce and online marketing specifically in the hospitality or travel/transportation industry, and including extensive experience in email marketing, search, and SEO. Ability to demonstrate a successful track record in traffic and revenue growth.
  • Minimum 3 years mobile commerce/marketing experience including both iOS and Android platforms.technologies and vendors commonly used in travel or hospitality ecommerce and online
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing environments.
  • Charismatic and energetic personality with the ability to offer flexible and resourceful solutions to problems and create cohesive teams both internally and externally with vendors and all parts of the organization.
  • The ability to explain technical and/or e-commerce concepts to audiences within all levels of an organization
  • Strong analytical, leadership and communications skills as demonstrated through his/her professional and educational background and achievements, as well as, organizational skills
  • Four-year degree in Business, Marketing or Computer Science from a reputable college or university. MBA preferred.
