Job Description

Responsibilities

As an Insurance Sales Representative, you will be responsible for calling prospective clients and generating new leads while also providing great customer service as the manager of new and existing customer accounts. However, in this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in several other exciting activities including:

  • Attending networking events, trade shows & community events
  • Educating and advising customers as their dedicated Sales Representative
  • Creating daily schedules, emailing and corresponding with customers
  • Answering inbound calls from agents, customers and other internal/external parties
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Obtaining required licensure and staying aware of evolving policy changes
  • Marketing Farmers Insurance products and Financial Services

Job Requirements

The qualified Insurance Sales Representative will have at least a high school diploma, although a college degree is preferred. You should also have:

  • Sales and/or customer service experience highly desirable
  • Past industry experience as a Sales Representative, a plus
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in order to guarantee great customer service
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a fearless and positive attitude
  • Self-motivation and goal-orientation
  • Strong organizational, time management and follow-through skills
  • Desire to continually learn new products and services
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good credit history no chapter 11 or 13 bankruptcies within the last 12 months. No chapter 7 bankruptcies within the last 3 years
  • Good driving record no DUIs in the last 3 years
