Project Accountant at Cranbury

Job Description

Expanding Software Company in the Cranbury area is in need of a Project Accountant.
The ideal candidate will provide financial support, monitor and improve performance and reduce risks!
Responsibilities include:



Managing and maintain the financial aspects of client projects, contracts and Statements of Work.



Provide analytical support through both standard and ad-hoc basis reports



Ensure the team meets requirements related to client and project set up



Monitor project economics and investment, and oversee the billing and collection process



Process and reconcile costs, deferred costs and deferred income.



Invoice preparation



Ensure accuracy and compliance with the SOW, contract and billable expenses



Analyze the project data to identify incorrect coding, excessive or incorrect time and expense

REQUIREMENTS



4 Year degree in Finance/Accounting



5+ years of related experience



Software/IT Industry preferred



Must have experience with Contracts



Must have advanced Excel



Must be detail oriented, strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills



Self-starter with well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
