Bioinformatics Analyst at Basking Ridge

RMA of New Jersey ("RMANJ")is a multi-physician practice specializing in reproductive medicine. We have state-of-the-art clinical and laboratory facilities, as well asa genomics and genetic research divisionsolely dedicated to improving reproductive technologies and the quality of patient care.The Bioinformatics effort at RMANJ is focused on the analysis of genomic and genetic data sets as well as basic research into reproductive health. Current projectsinclude assisting in the development of clinical markers of fertility and reproductive health, development of automated methods and software to support large-scale bioinformatics analysis, research into genetic components of reproductive success, proteomics analysis, and computational biology and bioinformatics support. Typically, most projects involve biological data modeling and analysis, automated process/pipeline building, database development, data management & maintenance, statistical analysis, software development & implementation, and computational supportfor reproductive health research.

We areseeking an experiencedBioinformatics Analyst to work under the Director of Bioinformatics, along witha talented, interdisciplinary team of biomedical scientists, information technologists, physicians, andother clinical staff.The right candidate must have at least a Masters degree in computer science, bioinformatics, life sciences, or related fields, plus two to five years of professional work in bioinformatics, clinical informatics, orcomputational biology.Must havea demonstrated high proficiency in any of the languages R, Perl orPython anda basic understanding of SQL databases.Shouldhave had at least one course in college-levelstatistics and have some professional experience in the management and analysis of high-dimensionalbiological data.
