Human Resources Generalist at Somerset

A nationally recognized leader in executive and corporate relocation has a Human Resources Generalist position available in our Corporate Headquarters office.

Candidate will perform Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: Recruitment, Benefits, Orientation, Employee Relations, Workers Compensation, Occupational Safety and Health, Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity, Training and Payroll.

Essential Duties will include:

• Market, source, and select, qualified job candidates in sufficient numbers to fill job vacancies
• Establish hiring criteria by analyzing job requirements with supervisors
• Ascertain applicants qualifications and present candidates by conducting interviews and due diligence process (tests, reference checks, drug tests, criminal reports, etc.)
• Ensure effective administration of all company benefit programs (communication, enrollment, additions, terminations, changes, billing, deductions, and record keeping)
• Counsel employees on benefit programs
• Correspond and act as liaison with insurance carriers, vendors, and government agencies
• Maintain equal employment opportunity program in compliance with government legislation and management directives and facilitate diversity initiatives
• Coordinate audits and cross-train as backup for payrollThe ideal candidate should have:

• 5+ or more years of experience in Recruitment, Benefits, Orientations, Workers Compensation, Employee Relations, Occupational Safety and Health, Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity, Training and Payroll
• Bachelors degree in business administration, human resource management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Professional Human Resources certification from Society of Human Resources Management preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of human resources, payroll and HRMS computer systems.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
