Job Requirements

We are currently looking for PARA PROFESSIONALS/INSTRUCTIONAL AIDES for CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT. Chesterfield Township School District is a public school district NEW JERSEY.

 

School hours are 8:25am to 3:30 pm and the PAY RATE is $90/day.  The 2-3 current openings are Full Time Monday thru Friday for the school year.

Main JOB Goal:

• To assist the classroom teacher to ensure that the student’s IEP is fully implemented by working with the individual and small groups of disabled students to provide them with instructional, physical and emotional assistance and support as needed to gain optimum benefit from the district’s education program.

Other responsibilities:

• Assist with individualized instruction and works with small groups of students, under the supervision of the teacher, to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher
• Assist in taking care of physical needs of the special education pupil, which may include putting on and taking off outerwear, moving the students from room to room, and assistance in using the lavatory.
• Engages the children in conversation to encourage language development

 

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college credits required; 60 credits or Associates Degree PREFERRED
• FBI Registration ID ( within 1 year)
• State Police Clearance (within 1 year)
• Physical/TB Test (Original, within 1 year)
• Experience in Elementary Education or related field preferred
• ABA EXPERIENCE IS A HUGE PLUS
