Java developer at Parsippany

A Kforce client is seeking a Java Developer that will be a member of a small and cohesive team in Parsippany, New Jersey (NJ) that is focused on developing new applications and adding new modules and features to a world class suite of commercial grade software applications.

Responsibilities:

• Be a key part of the iterative development process and will be responsible for implementing UI features, frameworks and APIs complete with comprehensive and automated unit tests


• Apply hands-on technical expertise to enhance existing Enterprise Wide Applications Suite


• Deliver complex projects across functional domains and technologies


• Work closely with several customer-facing teams globally, offering the opportunity to work in close partnership with several of the worlds largest banks


• Work on development, testing and delivery of solutions in accordance within a defined software development process

The following skills, knowledge and experience are required for this position unless noted otherwise:

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills which have been applied in a Java environment


• Proven track record of delivering complex solutions in a rapidly changing environment


• Experience designing and developing Object-Oriented solutions


• A wide range of experiences with core Java APIs


• Experience building web applications using Java or JavaScript frameworks


• RDBMS experience - Hibernate or similar ORM is a plus


• Test driven development and methodology experience


• Experience building high-performance, multi-threaded services using Java Concurrent Programming APIs is a plus
