Invoice Processing Lead at Weehawken

Position summary

  • The Global Invoice Processing Lead works with the clients outside counsel, legal services vendors, internal counsel and inbound global invoices to assist in the facilitation of onboarding law firms to a global electronic invoice system. This process includes the complete life cycle of initial communications, testing electronic files, reconciliation of matters, and interworking with legal and regional business contacts.

  • *Mentor and train Invoice Auditor.

  • Assist in monitoring hotline calls and e-mails, paper invoice processing, and technical administration of system.

  • *Partner with firms to achieve 100% electronic invoice processing.

  • *Prepare upload feed on new law firms and vendors.

  • *Coordinate upload with eBilling vendor.

  • *Assist with trouble shooting with law firms and vendors for any issues that may arise and find timely and viable solutions.

  • *Ensure law firm rate cards are maintained in the eBilling system.

  • *Maintain automated validation of billing guidelines and alternative fee arrangements.

  • Support 1099 tax documentation associated with settlements

  • Support FINRA legal fee audits

    Requirements

  • Job qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business, economics, finance, legal or related field.

  • 5+ years professional experience in a position managing law firm eBilling processing

  • Strong communicator, high level of discretion, independent judgment and policy-making with law firms.

  • Understanding of general accounting principles.

  • Ability to examine issues, make appropriate decisions and ensure prompt actions to ensure data integrity.

  • Systems fluency including internet and intermediate MS Office

  • Strong communicator, creative, intelligent, self-disciplined and highly industrious.
