FIELD TECHNICIAN - COMPUTER SERVICES

We are a Fast-teks On Site Computer Services franchise, serving north central and eastern New Jersey clients, with on-site computer and computer network installation, repair, and maintenance services and support. We are focused on providing personal computer and desktop services, equipment sales, technical advice, and total customer satisfaction.

We are looking for energetic PC Field Technicians, to work on a per contract or per service call basis to service and support home and small business clients. Our Technicians perform service calls during the day or evening, get paid well, and have the flexibility to set their own schedule. All work is performed at the customer site. As an independent contractor, you are essentially your own boss, and you can make the work fit into your existing schedule. Perfect as a part-time job or for additional income.

• Higher-than-average base pay, $20-25/hr as a 1099 contractor, depending on technical ability
• Commission on sales made by the Technician is also provided

Job Requirements

• You Must meet these Requirements - with experience in the PC industry
• You "get" computers, and how they operate - stand alone or as part of a network
• You  have a professional demeanor and appearance, are reliable, punctual, and a self starter
• You can find creative solutions to technical problems and situations and satisfy customers
• You can communicate with different levels of technical information and knowledge
• You have practical experience in on-site PC and/or Mac troubleshooting; and are proficient in:
  • Computer repair
  • Peripheral setup,
  • Upgrades,
  • Networking, Software and OS Installations
• You are A+ certified or MCSE certified (or have equivalent, demonstratable work experience)You have a genuine desire to help clients
• You have a background in corporate systems support (preferred, but not required)
• You have previous customer or sales experience (direct customer interface experience
• You can respond to some calls inside 4 hours notice, as necessary
• You have your own toolkit, cell phone (with texting capability), laptop computer, and automobile
