Financial Transformation Associate Partner - Chemical and Petroleum at Northern

The Financial Transformation Associate Partner (AP) will provide finance function consulting services to large, multinational clients in the Chemical & Petroleum, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics and Industrial Products industries. Although the AP will work in all the Industrial Sector industries, special emphasis for this role is placed in the Chemical & Petroleum industry. The AP will need to have a deep understanding of Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream, including Manufacturing and Marketing.

The AP will assist clients in optimizing their business services and transforming their finance function (specific areas include: accounts payable/receivable, credit/collections, general accounting, and fixed asset accounting), financial close and consolidations (including sub-ledger transactions through financial closing, financial planning and analysis; including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis), and operating model/organizational design/shared services.

Our Financial Transformation Associate Partner will be expected to lead or support complex finance projects both in competitive sales proposal situations and on client engagements. This role involves gathering facts, analyzing the clients business (competitors, markets, customers, value propositions, operational models, etc), drawing conclusions, and reporting upon that work.

The Financial Transformation Associate Partner will:
Provide client and IBM team leadership in support of projects that span requirements, design, development, and deployment, as well as in support of sales efforts for new and future work.
Support the identification, development, and closure of sales efforts in support of an identified sales target.
Provide Finance Transformation subject matter expert guidance, strategies, and best practices.
Build and lead internal communities of IBM Industry Practitioners.
Lead or contribute to the creation of IBM positions on specific Finance Transformation topics.
Define, develop and use repeatable consulting industry solutions.
Transfer knowledge to local IBM teams through training and side-by-side engagement work.

The Associate Partner role generally requires travel 4-5 days per week.

Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance of one of the following locations: Philadelphia, PA / Delaware Valley Region (PA, NJ, DE); The Greater Houston Texas Region; or Dallas Texas. (2252)

Required
  • Bachelors Degree
  • At least 5 years experience in Financial Transformation using deep functional knowledge including transaction processing and decision support.
  • At least 5 years experience in and a proven track record of identifying consulting opportunities, developing a tailored solution, closing the deal, and executing the project to a high degree of client satisfaction.
  • At least 5 years experience in process, organization and technology improvements.
  • At least 5 years experience in developing financial function strategies that include Shared Services and outsourcing.
  • At least 5 years experience in the Chemical & Petroleum industry.
  • At least 5 years experience in management consulting for a consulting and/or professional services firm, including sales and delivery responsibilities.
  • Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
  • English: Basic knowledge


Preferred
  • Masters Degree
  • At least 10 years experience in Financial Transformation using deep functional knowledge including transaction processing and decision support.
  • At least 8 years experience in and a proven track record of identifying consulting opportunities, developing a tailored solution, closing the deal, and executing the project to a high degree of client satisfaction.
  • At least 10 years experience in process, organization and technology improvements.
  • At least 10 years experience in developing financial function strategies that include Shared Services and outsourcing.
  • At least 10 years experience in the Chemical & Petroleum industry.
  • At least 10 years experience in management consulting for a consulting and/or professional services firm, including sales and delivery responsibilities.
  • Certified in CPA
  • English : Intermediate
