Oracle Developer

TEKsystems is currently in need of an Oracle APEX and PL/SQL Developer for our client in Princeton, NJ. This is a 3 month contract opportunity with the potential to be extended further.

Description:

The Oracle APEX and PL/SQL developer will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, design, development, testing, deployment and documentation of custom built Oracle APEX applications. The ideal candidate will have the programming experience, excellent organization skills and the ability to multi-task. A demonstrated a track record of designing and developing applications using Oracles Application Express Development tool and PL/SQL is required.

Qualifications:

- Expert skill level with Oracle Application Express framework (3.2 or 4.1 preferred) and PL/SQL

- Knowledge of Installation and configuration of Oracle APEX

- Strong Oracle database development experience including SQL, PL/SQL, configuration, performance tuning etc.

- Complete understanding in Oracle database design, relationships and data modeling

- Knowledge of the layers and components of web applications

- Experience with web services

- Experience to consolidating of data from disparate data sources

- Strong knowledge of HTML 5, JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, and JSON

- Strong knowledge of differences with various browsers such as Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari

- Experience with JQuery library and Javascript

- Good knowledge of UI design

- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability in problem solving

- Strong debugging and problem solving skills

- Thorough understanding of version control, software configuration and release management practices

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

- Effective initiative, verbal and written communication skills

- Experience with Java is a plus
