Position Description:

Due to exceptional growth, Pinnacle Wireless is seeking a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of spreadsheet analytics and report generation and will work closely with Finance staff in supporting the weekly Management Report (MR) process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
Have prior exposure to percentage-of-completion revenue recognition accounting
Take ownership of and maintain project ledgers ensuring ledger entries are coded timely and correctly
Perform monthly account reconciliations ensuring proper close-out of work-in-process accounts
Provide monthly job ledger activity (pulled from G/L system) to controller
Assist controller with tracking multiple projects progress of actual expenses incurred vs. forecast
Work with controller in the management of projects life cycle including collection and analysis of relevant purchase orders, change orders, pro-formas and costs estimates
Prepare analysis of open billing detail and unbilled receivables including tracking contract milestones alert controller when billing milestones are reached
Contribute to the divisions month-end close process including journal entry support and account reconciliations and adhere to close calendar to ensure timely and efficient execution
Perform periodic analysis of AR aging and contact customers to resolve unpaid invoices as needed
Complete ad-hoc reporting (utilizing macros, pivot tables) as required
Heavy involvement in annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasting
Support finance teams reporting and presentation deliverables including weekly Management Report (MR), Finance & Operations presentations and external auditor requests
Assist on special projects as assigned, administrative tasks as necessary

Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or Staff Accountant
Proficient in the use of MS Excel (particularly pivot tables, vlookup, macros), PowerPoint
Previous experience working with financial General Ledger systems is strongly preferred
Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Must possess strong analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to operate independently with a sense of urgency

Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree (B. A./B.S.) from four-year College or University in accounting or finance
2-4 years of experience in an accounting or financial analyst role
CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
