MEDICAL ASSISTANT/LPN

We are a busy dermatology practice with two offices, one in Howell and one in Little Silver, right around the corner from Red Bank.  We currently have a part-time medical assistant/LPN position open. This position is for 2-3 days per week and may lead to a full-time position.  We are looking for a motivated, experienced individual preferably with dermatology or surgical experience.  Our staff is friendly, hard-working and mature-minded.  We offer an excellent benefits package including competitive salary, health benefits, 401K plan, profit sharing plan funded 100% by the employer, paid vacation/personal time and paid vacations. This position includes no weekend or holiday hours.

The medical assistants/LPNs in our office are involved in all aspects of patient care from greeting patients, charting histories, contacting patients regarding lab results and preparing patients for surgical procedures.  This is a very hands-on position in which you will work very closely with the physician.  The responsibilities include patient teaching, wound care and assisting in a variety of medical and cosmetic surgical procedures.  

Since patient communication and documentation are integral parts of the position, you must possess strong communication skills including articulate speech and proper grammar.  Marketing of skin care products and procedures is another plus.  The pace in the office is controlled but fast so keen organizational skills are necessary.
