Senior Auditor at Freehold

Our client, a mid size regional CPA firm, seeks an Audit Seniors and semis for their Central nj offices. Will participate on diverse audit engagements and/or tax reviews and returns, supervise junior staff members and interact with Senior level professionals. Exposure to various industries but not for profit, government and municipalities.

For our Audit Senior, we need someone with a minimum 3 years of public accounting experience completing audits for Governmental Entities (Townships, Cities, Boroughs, Counties, and School Boards). Definitely leaning towards someone who already has their CPA or parts passed

Responsibilities:

• Performs services within budgeted time by developing technical, time management, and organizational skills


• Monitors staff performance on jobs.


• Reconcile client records to trial balance, which may include analytical procedures, and performs schedule computations of prepaid, accruals, property, equipment, and calculates depreciation expense


• Makes scheduling adjustments as needed


• Uses the firms software programs to automate the process from trial balance and financial statements


• Performs other accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting duties as needed in engagements

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field


• CPA preferred


• Minimum five (5) years experience of Governmental Auditing


• Knowledge of general accounting principles, proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, ability to communicate clearly and concisely


• Experience with Prosystem fx Engagement preferred


• Able to operate a personal computer/laptop, scanner, printer, fax machine, copier and adding machine


• Transportation required
