Business Development Manager, Corporate Accounts at Lawrenceville

As part of our expansion, Britton Industries is looking to add talent to our existing successful sales team. Were seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to maintain and hunt down new business opportunities within the New Jersey and Pennsylvania large corporate & institution sector and take high-level prospects through our sales process.

The BDM will build and maintain a sales pipeline by initiating sales calls, qualifying leads, conducting meetings and product demonstrations with prospects in the government vertical. The sale is a process-driven, consultative sale and requires advanced communication, sales management, and relationship-building skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Manage the sales process within the corporate vertical - from introduction to delivery

Obtain new accounts and grow existing accounts to consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quota

Meet and exceed all activity goals and business measurements including sales meetings, pipelining, win rate, average deal size, etc.

Generate leads through cold calling, presentations, and other lead generating activities

Identify key account decision makers to sell Britton Industries products and solutions; perform due diligence on prospects to gain an understanding of overall financial condition, lines of business, key decision makers, competition and Britton Industries competitive positioning

Demonstrate follow-through with all aspects of the Industries sales process; provide regular reporting updates to direct manager

Proactively build and maintain in-depth knowledge of industries products and services, industry trends and competition

Regularly update new and current customer information in CRM system

Complete all required reporting activities such as forecasts, expense reports and weekly status reports on time


QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum:

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in business or sales management

3+ years of overall B2B sales experience with strong background managing the entire sales process from beginning to end

3+ years of new account development selling

Sales hunter with proven prospecting and sales cycle management skills, as well as a consistent track record of success meeting financial objectives

Vertical expertise: background selling into large accounts with a solid, working understanding of how these organizations function and connect

Experience managing extended sales cycles

High level of social perceptiveness and customer service coupled with a strategic awareness

Experience using salesforce.com or similar

Advanced communication, presentation and negotiation skills

Self driven, motivated, results oriented personality with an enthusiasm for growth

Ability and willingness to work within an open environment in a professional office setting

Ability and willingness to travel frequently within assigned region

PREFFERED:

Experience generating new sales revenuesover $5M per year in products/services; examples and experience of regularly closing deals in the $100,000-$300,000 range

Demonstrated experience generating 20+ new business meetings per month with a strong sales conversion ratio

Ability to manage executive level relationships within large organizations; previous experience selling into large organizations

Knowledge of/experience with structured sales methodologies, e.g., Strategic Selling, Solution Selling, SPIN, Power Based Selling, and/or Target Account Selling
