Storage Engineer

The ettain group is looking for an experienced Systems Analyst to drive and Support Enterprise File Services for North & South America Shared Infrastructure for a large Fortune financial client in Charlotte, NC!
Required for consideration:

Candidates must have experience working with large amounts of data migration using RoboCopy

Candidates must be competent with Microsoft Excel to be able to collect, manipulate and report data and generate data migration scripts

Candidates must have Microsoft Server Operating Systems operational support experience

Candidate must have NetApp NAS Storage operational support experience
Daily Requirements:
Incident management (Maximo) for all File Services supported devices and services

NetApp NAS Filers (Primary and Secondary)

Windows File and Group Share Servers

Windows Application Servers for the following File Services supporting applications
o Quota Management
o File Blocking Management
o Data Archiving Management HSM (Archivio)
o Anti-virus protection(MAV)
o Distributed File Services (DFS)
Storage Capacity Management

Monitoring storage utilization and available capacity

Monitoring Volume Snap Mirrors

Data redistribution/load balancing

Storage Capacity Increases
Work Order Service Requests for:

Data Migration Request

Increase existing Group Share Quota

Request New Dedicated Group Share

Request Resource Engagement for Project

File Blocking Policy Exception Request

Windows User Home Folder Quota Increase
Bulk Data Migrations:

BAU Data transfers for user Home Directory and Shared Group Folders

Data Transfers for filer volume load balancing

Data Transfers Projects

Wintel server remediation (from Windows to NAS)

Transitions from legacy platforms to NAS

Divestitures Data migration of data owned
MCP or MCSE certification Must have strong, practical experience in data migrations or handling large amounts of data using Microsoft ROBOCOPY

Familiarity with info security, permissions, networking, drive mappings, Distribute File Services

NetApp fundamentals

Experience a must.

Basic scripting and/or batch file processing
