Overview:Reporting directly to the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis, this position will be responsible for providing business analytics and reporting for Big Ticket (Furniture and Bedding) Network, including Workroom and Delivery, to better manage a rapidly growing network and proactively address potential issues. This position will manage the detailed planning, forecasting, analysis, financial reporting for the network. In addition, this position will support expense savings, revenue and margin improvement initiatives as the network continues to grow.Essential Job Functions: Manage annual and revised seasonal plan. This includes: liaising with ML business operators as well as other Macys business partners to ensure the planning process is adequately reviewed setting financial targets and challenging submissions identifying and driving profit improvement and cost reduction initiatives Support the capital expenditure process by analyzing savings impact Prepare presentations for executive management Develop analysis on accounting / methodology changes Review/ analyze and provide oversight to the preparation of monthly Rolling Operating Forecast reports; Drive process improvement for improved forecasting accuracy Implement forecasting tools using KPIs liaise with business partners to drive efficiencies and ensure proper communication of assumptions, risks and opportunities Partner with PMTs for both 4-wall and delivery (a.k.a. Six Sigma organization) on process change/improvements to drive expense reduction; including providing and/or reviewing analysis for Profit Improvement KnowledgeBase Submissions Managing the preparation of Home Office Reporting, including the Division Operating Statements (DOS) and Customer Fee Reporting. This includes review and management oversight, as well as liaising with Home Office on specific information requests. Sets appropriate priorities for self and work teams to maximize speed and results; plans proactively to avoid crisis; handles unavoidable crisis effectively and will be directive until operations normalize. Practices open and continuous communication; values keeping others well informed; presents written and verbal ideas in easily understood ways; conducts effective meetings.
