Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift at Dayton

Job Description

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF), is a leading creator and manufacturer of flavors and fragrances used in a wide variety of consumer products-from fine fragrances and toiletries, to soaps, detergents and other household products, to beverages and food products.

• Manage the resources within the production environment to ensure that on time performance and quality goals are met.
• Manage the performance of personnel to improve overall productivity. Maintain monthly performance information (including coaching notes). Compile this information into preliminary reviews for all direct reports and deliver these reports to the Production Manager before the end of each review period.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Train and document new operators. Re-train and document existing operators as deemed necessary. Ensure all training documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Maintain high levels of customer service and excellent communication with the IFF’s Customer Service Representatives and fragrance sales teams.
• Continuous optimization of the facility’s available automation and reservoir infrastructure. Lead continuous improvement activities and implement lean manufacturing concepts.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent work experience)
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
