Packaging Engineer

Well known cosmetic company requires a Junior Packaging Engineer for a one year contract assignment.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for all packages from pre brief or mock up; provide technical expertise for first assessment and validation of the finished product and packaging quality, risks, costs, timing, usage life phases of the product, esthetic, ergonomic, sustainability, etc

*Detail preliminary engineering and select technologies to use

*Collaborate with laboratories on the certification plan

*Preliminary mock up before definitive; elaborate with all team members the first planning

*Define purchasing strategy and innovations and technologies required, make recommendations for validation

*Launch the quote and feasibility study of the more relevant engineering solutions

*Assist the purchaser in negotiating the best terms and conditions with final supplier

*Collaborate with suppliers

*Determine risk analysis of the detailed engineering before validating the drawings

*Make improvements to reduce the risks and costs of manufacturing

*Follow the internal artwork validation and intellectual property validation

*Update planning and cost, anticipate issues

*Define preliminary and definitive technical specifications on time including packaging validation before mass production with range and limits for each step.

Required:

*Bachelors in Package Engineering

*1 to 2 years Experience in Cosmetic Industry or Plastic or Glass supplier

*1 to 2 years Experience in Packaging Engineering project management

*Able to read CAD drawings/blueprints

*MSOffice proficiency

*Excellent communication skills verbal and written
