BUSINESS ANALYST- DATA WAREHOUSE at Jersey

Job Description

My client, a leading global investment bank, is seeking a talented and motivated business analyst to support a major data warehousing project that spans across all asset classes for the capital markets business. This is a permanent position based in Jersey City and will pay a base salary in the range of 100-120k, depending on the candidate (plus offer an excellent bonus and benefits package).

As the lead business analyst, you will be supporting a major data warehousing initiative compiling trade data originating from all of the banks trading desks. You will be expected to working with business sponsors across all functional groups, IT leads and operations heads to gather and document business requirements. You will be responsible for creating use cases, activity diagrams, and determining the current state of information. In addition, you will work with the IT team to implement changes to data flows and help identify future needs. You will also be tasked with guiding the QA team, creating test cases and providing assistance in UAT efforts. Lastly, you will be responsible for identifying key project risk/ issues, preparing project plans, conducting project meetings and taking full ownership of issues. You will be working with a team to achieve the goals of this highly visible, mission critical, multi-year project.

To qualify for this position, you must have experience as a business analyst working with major data sets within the capital markets space. Sound data warehousing experience and financial product knowledge are critical to success in this position. Advanced Excel and SQL skills are also key requirements. Candidate should also have a solid grasp of ETL processing methods, data modeling and requirements management tools.
