Software Support and Training Specialist at Toms River

Job Description

Realtime Information Technology is a rapidly growing provider of educational related software and services to NJ public school districts. We are seeking an individual to provide support and training that is focused on supporting clients who have implemented our student management software solution.  As a Software Support and Training Specialist you will work in a team environment that is focused on providing excellent customer support, and utilize communications, problem solving, and technical skills together with your knowledge of the company software.

Specific duties include:

• Respond to telephone and email requests for support from clients located in school districts throughout the state of NJ 

• Diagnose and resolve problems 

• Identify issues for the attention of developers and management

• Conduct on-site training to individuals or groups 

• Assist with system demonstrations 

• Document client software issues 

• Guide clients to the use of self-help resources 

• Research and evaluate State and Federal rules and regulations related to reporting and other requirements, assess impact on the software system design, and provide feedback to management 

• Maintain related reports and records

   

Job Requirements

 Required: Experience and/or education must reflect the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
 

• Experience working with a database system in a web-based environment  
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing  
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills 
• Strong time management and organization skills 
• Excellent interpersonal skills  
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment  
• Flexibility and the ability to multitask  

 

Desired:  Experience working in a school environment. For example – providing administrative/management support or services, teaching, providing technology support, performing tasks related to databases, software, reporting, etc.
