Hampton Academy is a private school for students with disabilities approved by the New Jersey Department of Education serving grades one through twelve. It is our mission to provide services and support that will help our students realize their full potential within our setting, and build foundation for success when moving on to higher education, vocational programs or a return to the school district.

We are looking for a Full-time Social Worker to assume responsibility for clinical assessment, treatment of designated children, and discharge planning. Using an understanding of principles of growth to assess each patients age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care. Formulates treatment plan within first two days of program admission based on students current symptoms and needs and patient/family specific assessment data; treatment goals are observable and measurable. Conducts individual, family and group therapy by encouraging open communication and verbalization of feelings in an attempt to increase self awareness and identify and resolve problems.

Job Requirements

Masters Degree in Social Work and licensure asa social worker in the state of New Jersey required. Previousexperience in case management discharge planning; psychiatric schoolexperience preferred; strong writing and communications skills
