Position Summary: 1. Drive delivery trucks throughout the University as well as off campus in order to deliver and/or pick up furniture, paper goods, machinery, rental equipment or other items as needed. Duties include warehouse order processing, packing and shipping of paper products and cleaning supplies to various locations on campus. 2. Lift heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) and transfer greater weight using either manual or powered material handling equipment such as flat dollies, pallet jacks, fork lifts, etc.3. The ability to learn how to effectively use a mobile application for an electronic work order system within 3 months of hire date.4. Serve as back up for the Sanitation Crew, operating refuse scooters, loading dumpsters, cleaning dumpster sites or transferring medical waste as needed. Also serve as back up for warehouse operation attendant.5. Perform basic maintenance on vehicles, material handling equipment and rental equipment.6. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

1. High School Diploma or equivalent GED2. Must be able to comprehend written and oral instructions in English3. Experience and knowledge of equipment and methods used in the transfer of furniture, heavy boxes, machinery, rental equipment, etc. 4. Must possess a valid New Jersey / Pennsylvania Drivers License and have experience driving a manual transmission. Must be proficient at backing vehicles into tight spaces.5. Ability to use carpentry tools such as drills, hand saws, screwdrivers, etc. in performing minor maintenance to rental equipment.6. Must be able to operate material handling equipment that is capable of transferring heavier objects. Must be able to obtain Fork Lift Certification within six months of hire.7. Must be able to work overtime; before start of shift, at end of shift, week-ends, etc.8. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds between 1 and 30 times per day and frequently lift up to 60 pounds between 1 and 60 times per day.9. Must be able to climb stairs, up to four flights, while carrying 50 pound packages by hand.10. Must be able to transfer heavy objects (up to 250 pounds) up several flights of stairs using appliance dollies or similar material handling tools. 11. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds in a range of motion from the floor to shoulder height.12. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds in a range of motion from the floor to waist height.13. Must be able to maneuver a pallet jack with a full load of up to 1200 pounds with a push or pull force of 200 pounds.14. Work outdoors in a variety of environmental conditions.15. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds between 1 and 100 times per day and frequently lift up to 70 pounds between 1 and 60 times per day.18. Must be able to push or pull forces up to 70 pounds (moving trash dumpsters) constantly (over 200 times per day) and push or pull forces up to 100 pounds (moving paper dumpsters) occasionally, up to 100 times per day.19. Stand or walk for 4-6 hours at a time up to 6 days per week.The finalist will be required to successfully pass a background check and a pre-employment physical.
