Job Description

Web Designer/Production Artist Quad/Graphics is seeking a Web Designer/Production Artist. Individual will be responsible for creating interactive user experiences for our client base. They will also understand/interpret creative direction for building layouts at the concept stage through final file distribution. The candidate must be able to work within a Retail Advertising creative environment and be proficient with all tasks associated with prepress. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency with the latest graphic design software (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite) and possess strong organizational and project management skills with strict attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute page layouts and alterations, in-store signs and other types of ads to the best of their ability and according to creative direction. Possess strong layout skills with an eye for page composition, yet able to take suggestions and direction from others
• Clear understanding of fundamental design and layout standards, print production techniques and processes
• Work closely with design team as well as client’s marketing groups to collaborate on creative direction
• Preflight and release final art files to printer efficiently and accurately
• Maintain a professional appearance and relationship with all company or department associates
• Maintain confidentiality as required and other incidental duties as assigned
• Working knowledge of Adobe CS5 applications and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of how to create die lines

Job Requirements

Web Designer/Production Artist

• Must have a comprehensive understanding of the functional capabilities within HTML Web & HTML email platforms, including experience in Dreamweaver CS
• A strong eye for design and page composition and layout
• Demonstrates proficiency utilizing InDesign and the remainder of the Adobe Creative Software Suite (Illustrator®, Photoshop®, Acrobat® and Bridge)
• Must have retouching experience utilizing Adobe Photoshop
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and organizational skills
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Personable and enthusiastic attitude
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment – work overtime as needed
• Dedicated work ethic
• Four-year degree in fine arts, graphic design, visual communications or a related field
• 1-3 years hands-on experience designing interactive experiences
• Retail Advertising experience preferred
